This is a fantastic book, one of the best in the Urban Fantasy (Paranormal Romance) genre. The audio book, in my opinion, is even better! Aasne Vigesaa has a very pleasant voice and really brought the characters (of Elena especially) to life! The much anticapted return of Elena and the pack!! I have to say I really missed the pack in the other books, having fallen in love with the Women of the other world series through them! While I am a fan of Laural Merlington's narration, I do wish the the narrator from Bitten had been brought back to read this book as in my mind she is the voice of Elena. But Merlington is the woman for the job and she by no means dissappoints.
Like the previous book 'Haunted' Broken ventures slightly more in the fantasy than the urban fantasy. But unlike Haunted, broken is set again in 'our world.' I loved the pregancy aspect to the story as it really shows a different side to both Elena and Clay. I found it abit difficult to get into the whole 'Jack the Ripper' story line to begin with but once i did it was another great mystery thriller from Armstrong! And another fantastic audiobook to add to the collection!

No Humans Involved is perhaps my favourite of all the Women of the other world series. For the simple reasons it finally gives Jamie Vegas her own story (she has been a favourite of mine since her introduction in Industrial Magic) and the is more pack action, this time with Jemery as the focus.
I loved the true intergration between our world and the supernatural world, seeing the differnec between the human spirtualists and Jamie the necromancer. It's a very funny book and you feel almost like you are getting a behind the seems view of those popular ghost hunting shows on tv today!
Even though this book is funny, it is also very dark, perhaps the darkest of all the series and is a really mystery thriller.
This really is one of the best in the series and I would recommend buying the book and the audiobook!

I love Lynsay Sands' Historical Romances, they're wonderful funny, touching, sassy. Unfortunately her modern vampire efforts are written like light fluffy chick lit made for holidays, to be read on the beach and then thrown away. There's absolutely nothing compelling here. Lissa at least gains a backbone in this book previously she was just the vamp who fainted at the sight of blood, and was everyone's beloved sister. But quite frankly the best thing about this book was the sexy cover, unfortunately. Think Mary Janice Davidson with half the wit, and you have these Argeneau novels pegged. For a modern comedic romance without the vampires check out Lori Foster. Please Ms Sands go back to writing your Historicals I love those and they are worth paying 8 dollars for!

As an ebook, this is a great effort from Laurell K. Hamilton in the Anita Blake series - but as an audiobook, it falls short. The plotting is well done, the characters well drawn, Anita is her usual self and I am glad that we see more of Micah here in this book. The problem is the reader. Ugh. In reading this book, the female reader sounds nothing like what I expect Anita to sound like. She makes Anita sound like a girly girl and if you know anything of Anita, this is NOT how she would sound. So I could not listen to this atrocity and recommend buying the ebook instead. You will enjoy it more.

Laural Merlington reprises her role as narrator again for the fifth installment of Armstrong's Women of the Other World series. As far as the audiobook goes, Merlington's narration is once again great, having previously enjoyed her on Dime Store Magic and Industrial Magic. I actually enjoyed this book far more in audio than I did when reading it.
Haunted goes much more into the Fantasy side of this genre than the Urban part. Set in the after life you really have to accept Armstrong's idea of what happen after we die (in this universe at least) and as the setting is not in 'our world' it can take abit of getting used. That's not to say the story isn't great, same brilliant characters, intriguing plot lines and witty dialogue, you just have to suspend reality a tad more in this one than the others.
All in all, not my favourite in the series, but a solid and worth reading addition to it.
